Top 32 Romantic Comedies for Valentine’s Day

This February I decided to do something fun on Instagram. To spread some love, I put together a Romantic Comedy Movie Bracket to poll all of my followers and find out which one is loved the most. To be honest, narrowing it down to just 32 was next to impossible. There are sooooo many good ones that I love and actually a few that were recommended that I had never seen (and that I made my husband watch with me…for research).

The category Romantic Comedy was a bit tricky too. I tried to only pick movies that heavily featured a love story but also had elements of comedy and humor.

Here is the bracket that I shared on Instagram (February 2022). I will start polling my followers this month. If you missed it, you can head to my account @katiesburntpancakes and check out the results in my story highlights. Did your favorite movie win the title “Most Loved Rom Com?”

If you are planning a Galentine’s party, try using this bracket with all the ladies. You can download and print this from my Etsy Shop HERE:

Romantic Comedy Movie Bracket

Here are all 32 movies from the bracket (in no particular order because let’s be honest, I can’t pick a winner). Make sure to check out my Instagram account (@katiesburntpancakes) to find out how my followers voted! Which one would be your winner? Leave me a comment below!

Pretty Woman

This love story will always be a classic.

Always Be My Maybe

This one is definitely in my top 5. The characters are funny and quirky and the love story just feels so real. It’s a must watch again and again.

When Harry Met Sally

I will admit that I hadn’t seen this one until recently. Well, I had seen clips of the restaurant scene but after seeing the whole movie, I think this one deserves to be in my top 5. Meg Ryan is just simply adorable. “I’ll have what she’s having.”

The Proposal

There is just something about this movie that makes me keep coming back to it year after year. Maybe it’s Ryan Reynolds (wink). I have probably seen it at least ten times. Not only is the romantic connection between these two incredible strong but it is laugh out loud funny.

It Could Happen to You

Nicholas Cage in a Rom Com? Yep!

She’s All That

This movie just brings me right back to high school. I think deep down every awkward teenage girl wishes she could be rescued by Freddie Prince Jr.

Something Borrowed

Pining for your best friend’s man? Yes, but somehow you’ve just to root for Jennifer Goodwin in this one.

Friends with Benefits

This one is a must see and makes my top 5. Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake have Chemistry with a capital “C!”

The Wedding Date

If you have even been to wedding solo, you can totally relate to Debra Messing in this movie. This is every single’s dream.

Pretty in Pink

The 80s sure knew how to make movies!

It’s Complicated

Love story with “mature characters.” I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure I’d like this, but I LOVED it!

Clueless

“As if” you could have a top 32 Rom Com list without putting Clueless on it!!!

You’ve Got Mail

I’ll admit that I actually watched this movie back when dial-up was still a thing, but even in 2022 it still gives me those feel good feelings.

10 Things I Hate About You

She’s grumpy and he’s grungy, but yet I don’t hate this one, I LOVE it!

While You Were Sleeping

Sandra Bullock was made for Romantic Comedies.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding

Anyone that has a loud, overbearing family can definitely relate to this one.

Failure to Launch

Something’s Gotta Give

Sabrina

This remake of the classic Audrey Hepburn movie is just adorable.

27 Dresses

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Or will she be? I’ve watched this one more times than I can count.

Runaway Bride

Reuniting these two actors after Pretty Woman was bound to be a hit.

Sixteen Candles

My high school crush? Jake Ryan!

The Princess Bride

Notting Hill

50 First Dates

I don’t picture Adam Sandler as a leading man in a Rom Com but this movie is so sweet.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson make the ideal pair in this adorable movie.

Overboard

I guess we know where Kate Hudson got her RomCom skills from! This a riches to rags type of love story and is definitely worth a watch.

My Best Friend’s Wedding

Bridget Jones’s Diary

There is just something to love about Renee Zellweger’s quirky and slightly awkward character. You can’t help but root for her.

The Big Sick

If you haven’t seen this one… go watch it! It’s such a great love story!

Sleepless in Seattle

Say Anything

There you have it, my top 32 Romantic Comedies. Which one is your favorite?
